The College of Health Care Professions (CHCP)] is an accredited career institution based in Texas dedicated to providing training for entry-level employment in the Allied health professions. CHCP was founded in 1988 by physicians and originally named The Academy of Health Care Professions. CHCP now has six locations across Texas, in addition to offering online courses. ==Teaching and accreditation== The College of Health Care Professions offers a variety of health care programs. The healthcare programs are designed to prepare students for their challenging and reward careers in specific growing allied health care professions. CHCP takes a unique approach to teaching through the combination of lectures, labs, and hands-on training to fully prepare students for their health care career of choice. Career-focused healthcare programs not only give students the knowledge to succeed, but provide them with the opportunity to learn and practice the skills necessary for success. The college is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). CHCP is approved and regulated by the Career Schools and Colleges Division of the Texas Workforce Commission,〔https://services.twc.state.tx.us/PECOSRPT/propschool〕 authorized by the United States Department of Education for participation in the certain Title IV. HEA programs (Pell Grant and Federal Direct Student and Parent Loan Programs). Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist and Massage Programs are regulated by the Texas Department of State Health Services. CHCP is an approved vendor of the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services (DARS). DARS is an approved provider of educational training services for the Investment Act and is approved by Texas Veterans Commission to train eligible veterans under Title 38.
